General Manager

 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented General Manager to lead one of our rapidly growing residential home services companies in the Chicagoland area. This is a pivotal role with the opportunity to oversee all aspects of the business, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and unparalleled customer satisfaction. As General Manager, you will provide strategic direction, cultivate a high-performing and positive work environment, and lead a team of dedicated professionals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans to fuel business growth, expand market share, and consistently achieve financial objectives.

  • Organizational Alignment: Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to establish clear organizational goals and objectives, ensuring seamless alignment with the company’s overarching vision and mission.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational functions, including service delivery, customer satisfaction initiatives, employee performance management, and efficient resource allocation.

  • Continuous Improvement Culture: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, proactively driving operational efficiency and effectiveness throughout every facet of the organization.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of managers and employees, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment characterized by teamwork and mutual respect.

  • Talent Acquisition & Growth: Identify strategic talent needs, actively participate in the recruitment and selection process to attract top-tier professionals, and provide ongoing support for the professional development and advancement of all employees.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a customer-centric philosophy throughout the organization, ensuring the delivery of consistently exceptional service and maximizing customer satisfaction and loyalty. What We Need From You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a leadership role, with a strong preference for candidates possessing experience within the home service industry or a closely related field.

  • Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated track record of successfully driving growth and enhancing profitability.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, coupled with a proven ability to effectively motivate, inspire, and empower others to achieve peak performance.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity for innovative and effective solutions.

  • Strong financial management skills, including expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with employees, customers, and key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound and well-informed decisions under pressure, effectively navigating complex situations with composure and strategic thinking.

  • In-depth knowledge of the home service industry, including relevant regulatory requirements, best practices, and emerging trends.

  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and software systems to optimize operational efficiencies; knowledge of ServiceTitan is a significant plus.
